Antiracism and Queer Liberation Theory are the foundational pillars of Headstrong Mindset. Antiracism opposes all forms of systemic racism. Antiracism supports antiracist policy through actions and antiracist ideas (IXK).
Queer liberation recognizes and honors a diverse spectrum of sexual orientations and gender identities beyond the gender binary. Queer liberation empowers people to be authentic and share their story. Queer liberation encourages engagement in growth fostering relationships within community.
I believe that helping people not get erased in our society is a form of advocacy. I believe that authenticity is a form of advocacy. And I believe that helping people develop identity self-awareness, irradiate all forms of internalized oppression, and live their lives “out of the closet” is a form of advocacy.
